The Driving Test changed on the 4th December 2017.
A new reverse manoeuvre was introduced.
It was controversial indeed and there were protests from Driving Instructors!
The Highway Code states that you should not do it, but in the real world it gets done!
The DVSA’s new Driving Test is all about real world driving, such as use of Sat Navs etc.
The brief is: ” pull up on the right-hand side of the road, reverse for 2 car lengths and re-join the traffic.
The DVSA Driving Test examiners are only doing this manoeuvre on very quiet roads and so far it seems to be quite popular with test candidates.
